Olympic 2012 Gathering To London

The summer Olympic Games to be held in the historical city of London is expected to be the most exciting event of the year 2012. The games are set to change the lives of all the people involved to it, directly or indirectly. The organizer city therefore has a lot of expectations in all the terms. The Olympic Games 2012 events are to start from 27th of July this year. Olympic Games are celebrated as one amongst the world?s greatest event or more so, world?s greatest festival. And this time the London Olympics create a new record, of being hosted at a particular venue thrice. The first London Olympics was organized in the year 1908, and the second in 1948. The London Olympics are to be held in three different sites, each game to be held in a particular venue. People have been waiting for this colossal and extravagant event. The tickets have already been on sale since March 2011.

The Olympic Games tickets will help make about ?375-?400 million to the organizers. There are some of the Olympic Games 2012 events which are free of cost.

These games include marathon, triathlon, and road cycling. However, sailing will be a sport which would charge the spectators with the ticket fee, unlike other Olympic events in history. The Olympic Game?s tickets were also given as event prizes in many shows since the year 2011. This helped it in its promotion as well. This summer Olympic Games are to commence from 27 July 2012 and will finish on 12th of August the same year. With the end of all events on the 12th of August, the Medals of whose results are distributed simultaneously after each event, London will host the closing ceremony on the same day. There are supposedly 4700 Olympic medals to be distributed in total. The Olympic Games results are always declared simultaneously as the games progresses and the Olympic medals are also distributed according to the winners, right after the declaration of results. The Olympic confers 3 kinds of medals viz... the bronze, the silver and the gold.

Thus the Olympic gamers prepare their whole lives to be placed in the top three ranks of the games. The summer Olympics Games of the year 2012 is different from rest in quite many aspects. The grandness of the event, and the deep rooted its preparations are, as per the host country, can be understood once one visits the place himself. Each London citizen and people from the other nearby cities has made the preparations, their sole measures of living. This Olympic Games torch relay will commence from 18th of May 2012 from Greece, and will last on 27th of July in the host city. The name to the opening ceremony of this event has been given as ?The Isles of Wonder?. With so much happening and with such great expectations, The London Olympics seems to be a worth attending event. Even if one is unable to capture ticket for their favourite sport or event, having able to just attend any of them will be overwhelming enough for anyone. The event will bring fun and pleasure, and who knows you might even start to love the event, which you had come for (unwillingly)!!!

Commercial Real Estate Around The UK | Linkeverest.com

Posted on May 19, 2012

Many Americans are concerned about the current commercial real estate market. In the past, many believed that it was a good investment market, but these days people are shying away from it. The following article has several tips to help you out if you are looking to invest in the current market or even if you yourself are a homeowner.

Before buying a commercial real estate property, you may want to consider writing a list of your wants and needs beforehand. This way, when you go property hunting, you can tell your real estate agent exactly what you need. This will help you to get your commercial real estate property quicker.

Purchase contracts vary in many different ways and can really be misleading to the untrained person trying to work their way through them. A real estate agent will help you maneuver through this part of the process so you will not end up finding out any loopholes that you may have missed down the road.

Before purchasing any kind of commercial real estate you need to be wary of a few things, such as the neighborhood and other things such as the condition of the building. You will save yourself a lot of headaches if you study this before you set up shop and realize it?s a bad part of town or the building is falling apart.

Speak with all of the high level people at your company to determine the financial plan and budget for the real estate purchase that you are going to make. The last thing that you want to do is to find a great piece of land but not have the funds to cover the transaction. Pop to ?????????????? ??????????? ? an update for in-depth ideas.

Research the different options available in commercial insurance. The type of policy that you need depends on many different things including whether or not customers visit your work site and the number of vehicles that you use. Your total number of employees also makes a difference. Paying attention to these variables will help you choose the right type of coverage.

Is it possible to work with real estate without using an agent? Well, technically it is, but it is generally not recommended. You are not merely paying an agent for their expertise, but more importantly for their network. With the contacts they have, your real estate will receive much greater exposure and will sell considerably quicker.

So, after reading and applying the helpful tips listed above, you should feel a bit more at ease in the land of commercial property ownership. You have the tools it?s time to use them. You should feel empowered and ready to begin owning commercial property much smarter to avoid unexpected issues that could cause you to lose money.

Employee Designs Team-Building Service from Personal ...

PRLog (Press Release) - May 18, 2012 -
Startup company, StaffUnity.com, this week released its new subscription lunch club service aimed at helping medium to large companies improve workplace culture by bringing staff members together for random lunch meetings.

The system was created and developed by graphic designer, Tim Clarke, after a personal experience with a co-worker led him to the idea. ?I was having difficulty getting an important project completed with a fellow employee in another department, so our managers suggested that the two of us get together for lunch,? Clarke said. ?After a single meeting, we were able to get to know each other personally, and our work relationship improved immensely. Immediately following that meeting, I imagined what kind of impact this could have on a company?s overall morale, if this experience could be multiplied hundreds of times.?

The company?s website contains an interactive calculator showing how a small staff can experience hundreds of new connections in one year by using the service.

The proprietary system was designed to create lunch groups based on a past meeting archive, thereby ensuring unique matches whenever possible. Participating employees who accept an email invite are entered into a pool and matched in groups of 2-4 to meet at a designated time and place.

The web-based program is administered by a single employee and runs automatically after a quick initial setup. All employees are entered into the database and can permanently opt-out with a single click. Incentives for employees to participate, such as free movie tickets or paid lunches, can be directed easily by using the built-in random drawing buttons.

Clarke said he believes, ?A connected staff leads to better communication and productivity which benefits the company and its employees.?

When appliances go wrong -- finding a quality refrigerator repair ...

Our modern homes are stacked full of everyday appliances we've come to rely on. In fact, we tend to only realize how much we value them when something goes wrong. And we all know what a headache broken down appliances can be. For starters, you're immediately inconvenienced.

Let's take a refrigerator as an example. Your food is in danger of perspiring now that it's not in a chilled environment. Then you have the hassle of finding an engineer to fix the problem. You check your warranty first of all hoping to find a chink of light.

Once you've come across someone you feel is suitability qualified there can be a long wait before they arrive. Perhaps you couldn't find anyone in your area. Maybe they've got a ton of work on and there's no chance of seeing them anytime soon.

Meanwhile, you're stuck at home desperately trying to get hold of a neighbor so that you can transfer your refrigerable items. Does this scenario sound familiar?

It needn't be the case. No. You don't have to suffer as the result of a faulty fridge. You just need to find a quality refrigerator repair service.

Making an impression

Great service starts right from the moment you make the initial phone call to a repair company. A friendly approach and a quick response should be the norm and not additional extras.

And once you hear that knock on the door or the bell ring, a smiling face should greet you. Sure, the technician is there to get to work. But a polite manner doesn't cost anything.

OK, that's enough sentiment. We all care about the bottom line too. That company might send someone round in double-quick time and have you fixed up within a few hours.

However, what if, you end up paying too much for these ?luxuries'? Don't get caught out. If you're dealing with experts who really value your custom then you'll receive a fair and competitive quotation.

No job too small

Of course, you don't have to wait for a complete breakdown before you call in an appliance repair company.

Why leave things to chance? If you notice a problem developing make sure you keep on top of things.

If a refrigerator door is sticking and won't shut properly it's time to seek out expert advice. The joy of finding a quality repair service is that no job will be too small. You might even have an issue that can be easily remedied with a do-it-yourself solution.

And a reputable firm won't be shy in sharing their knowledge on how best to maintain your appliances.

No one wants the hassle of having to fix faulty equipment around the home. But sometimes calling out a repair company is unavoidable. That's why it's important to deal with professionals who can fulfill their promises and deliver a high-quality service.

Certain jobs might not require as much technical expertise as others. However, no matter how big or small a task is the standards you expect should be the same. This is a fact not lost on the best in their field.

What If Women Thought About Sex Like Men? | Carolyn Edgar

The good folks over at Colorlines made my week by posting this video of ?Sh*t Steve Harvey Says? ? which is not a parody of things Steve Harvey would say, but clips of things Steve Harvey has actually said. If Steve Harvey didn?t actually exist, we?d have to invent him. In these clips, Harvey plays the ?Steve Harvey? persona for maximum entertainment, or revulsion, depending on how you feel about him. I?m not mad. I?m amused.

The romantic comedy ?Think Like a Man? ? inspired by Harvey?s popular relationship self-help book, ?Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man? ? has returned some of the book?s more controversial advice for women to the spotlight, particularly something Harvey calls the 90-day rule. Harvey advises women to withhold sex for the first 90 days of a relationship, to determine if the man is true relationship material. Harvey compares the 90-day no-sex rule to the way that auto companies like Ford Motor Company used to withhold employee benefits for the first 90 days of employment, a probationary period to determine whether or not the person is ?worth? the additional investment.

I can?t argue with the notion that one should get to know a person before having sex with them. Whether the waiting period is three hours, three days, three weeks or three months is a matter of personal choice. But I cannot subscribe to the notion of sex as a prize that men earn by meeting various challenges and tests of endurance, sort of like ?The Amazing Race.?

Still, I?ve been thinking quite a bit recently about what it means to ?think like a man? ? and what would happen if women did, especially when it comes to sex.

Almost from their sons? birth, mothers and fathers joke about how their sons start playing with their penises as soon as they figure out what their hands are for. For boys, masturbation is normal and expected.

This ?boys will be boys? attitude extends through toddlerhood into adolescence and beyond. Once a boy gets past the ?girls are icky? stage of early adolescence and moves into puberty, he is expected to be in constant preparation for his first sexual encounter. The goal is not to stop him from having sex ? that?s generally considered inevitable ? but to teach him how to do it safely and responsibly.

By contrast, it?s rare for a mother to talk openly about her infant daughter touching herself. Once a girl gets past the ?boys are icky? stage of early adolescence and moves into puberty, she is immediately taught to fear sex and sexuality. ?Boys are only out for one thing,? we tell them. They get that message from media and culture, even if we parents never say those words. The biggest fear of the parents of a teenage girl is that she is out somewhere having sex. (As the mom of a teen girl, I speak for myself here.) Yet at the same time, girls are bombarded with hypersexualized images of girls and women. In music, the ugliest rappers brag about taking a model chick (or two), ?beating it up? and sending her tripping back home on her Louboutins. The flip side of ?boys are only after one thing? is, ?that one thing is all you have to offer.?

What if we taught girls that it is natural for them to have sex drives, natural for them to have thoughts and desires, and natural for them to want to make themselves feel good? What if we taught girls that their sexuality exists for their own pleasure and enjoyment, not simply for the pleasure of men? What if we taught our girls the same way we teach our boys about sex ? wait as long as you can, but when you choose to do it, please be safe and responsible?

After adolescent boys and girls become men and women, there?s still a vast difference between what women and men are taught about sex. Men are expected to go out and explore. They?re expected to have multiple sex partners ? one or more at a time ? until they find ?the one? and are ready to settle down. Men are supposed to have a decent amount of experience before they choose ?the one,? so they will know both what they do and don?t like, and what it takes to satisfy a woman?s needs.

Of course, when a woman has attachment-free sex, she?s labeled a slut. Women convince themselves they can only have sex inside of ?relationships,? so some of us say we?re in a relationship with every dude we?re having sex with. It?s now acceptable for women to have some past experience, but too much puts a woman in permanent ho class.

But while men receive a two-fold benefit from experience, the value of a sexually experienced woman lies in her ability to please a man, not in knowing how she wants to be pleasured. Women are encouraged to teach themselves how to orgasm by masturbating. This is a start, but since penises don?t work like fingers and they don?t vibrate, self-pleasuring only goes so far in helping a woman improve her own responsiveness during intercourse. Perhaps women should be taught like men to focus on and take charge of their own pleasure during sex.

So I?m just saying: think like a man? Unfortunately, when it comes to sex, it seems no one really wants women to do that.

College Course Online Information: End Small Business Loan ...

If you are like many people with an idea for a profitable business, you hit a brick wall when you try to get a small business loan from a bank. Perhaps you don't have a great credit score, or you haven't been able to establish any credit record at all. Maybe you don't have a lot of education or a business track record. You may not even have a bank account, much less a personal relationship with a banker.

It is a painful experience to be ignored or rejected, especially when you know you have a good idea and the motivation to make it work. Fortunately there is an alternative to bank lending that has emerged over the past decade in the United States: Microfinancing. Microfinance Institutions (also known as MFI's) provide small loans and other helpful services to businesses and individuals who find it difficult or impossible to get financing through traditional means. Originally limited to developing countries, there are now a number of these lenders in the United States and Mexico--and the trend is growing.

MFI's differ from banks in that they exist to help people who can't get funding through the usual financial institutions. They know that not being able to meet a bank's requirements doesn't mean you can't be successful. In addition to loans they often provide business counseling, advice, and ongoing support to help establish and grow your business. Each MFI operates a little differently and has its own policies regarding eligibility and the timing and method of repaying your loans. While they typically don't insist that you have a bank account, credit record, collateral or someone to guarantee your loan, they may require that you join a small group to receive training and counseling. Loans must be repaid according to agreed terms and schedules. Once your initial loan has been repaid, you may be able to get additional loans to grow your business. Loan amounts differ among MFI's but may range anywhere from 0 to as much as 0,000.

End Small Business Loan Frustration: Finance Your Dream Without A Bank

Some of the better known Microfinance Institutions in the United States include Grameen America and ACCION U.S.A., both of which operate nationally. There are also regional organizations such as The Opportunity Fund for those in California, and CASH (the Community Alliance for Self Help) in Seattle.

Another exciting development is the creation of non-profit groups formed to allow individuals to make donations which are pooled together to increase the funding available for micro-lending. Up-to-date marine data enables students to carry out scientifically valid virtual experiments. The method yields insights on how scientific knowledge is created and developed, according to research from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.

Researchers from the University of Gothenburg followed upper-secondary students from the Swedish town of Lysekil for one year. The study was part of the research project I2I, Inquiry to Insight.

Using scientific data provided by the marine researchers involved in the project, the students explored the marine environment of the Gullmar Fjord on the Swedish west coast. The students used a virtual ocean acidification lab to conduct studies on acidification of the marine environment, studies with impressive validity based on the latest authentic data.

The method of using virtual tools has a high level of applicability and can be used in a wide range of learning situations, within both the natural and social sciences. The main point of using the method is that it makes students truly understand how scientific knowledge is created.

'It's a fast, safe and cheap way to get the work done, in contrast to expensive and sometimes dangerous science labs in schools. It's based on authentic research results that the students can compare with their own results. The experiments allow students to for example simulate the future, and they can stop what they're doing at the end of a class and pick up where they left off a week later. That's perfect in a school context,' says Senior Lecturer Annika Lantz-Andersson.

The Gothenburg researchers believe that the methods used in Lysekil could work well on a national scale thanks to the ample access to scientific data and cheap virtual tools.

The project partners at Stanford University in USA assessed the knowledge levels of more than 500 students before and after using the virtual lab. Their results enabled the researchers in Gothenburg to study how the students developed an understanding of scientific work and concepts. Now the researchers are trying to learn more concretely how virtual lab students work to find answers and discuss how studies and experiments should be designed to yield new knowledge. This work is based on about 25 hours of video-taped student interaction in the lab environment.

One conclusion that confirms previous research on digital tools is that the work of the teacher is extremely critical to successful learning.

'The way that the teacher introduces a lab session is crucial, and it is important to realise that computer software is not by any means self-instructive. The teacher needs to actively challenge the students' understanding and give them a chance to ponder over what the virtual experiments are meant to represent. The teacher's communication with the students is very important in order to avoid that the virtual experiments end up being just another abstract computer task,' says Lantz-Andersson.

PFT: Welker signs franchise tender with Pats

jacobbellGetty Images

Last week, Jacob Bell walked away from the NFL after eight seasons.? But he now admits to Peter King of SI.com that, if Bell were due to earn big money this year, he likely would have kept playing.

Under the deal Bell signed in 2008 with the Rams, he was due to earn $6 million in 2012.? Instead, he was going to make $825,000, the veteran minimum for a ninth-year player with the Bengals.

And so King was direct with Bell:? ?If you were on your previous contract with the Rams, due to make $6 million this year, would you have retired??

?That?s a very good question,? Bell replied. ?And therein lies the problem.? How can you say when you?re being offered so much money, the kind of money that can secure your future, to play football?? So of course it played a role.?

It?s the magnitude of the cash that keeps plenty of guys in the game.? ?I guarantee you if you asked every player in the NFL if they?d do it for $500,000 a year, a lot of them would do something else,? Bell said.

That?s not entirely accurate.? Plenty of young players are on the small side of 500 large, but they?re still lining up in droves to play.

Still, the game could see more guys like Jacob Bell walk away once the big money dries up ? if, of course, they?ve saved enough of it so that they don?t need to play for $825,000 or $500,000 or whatever they can get.

Brooks charged in hacking scandal

LONDON (Reuters) - Rebekah Brooks, a close confidante of Rupert Murdoch, was charged on Tuesday with interfering with a police investigation into a phone hacking scandal that has rocked the tycoon's empire and sent shockwaves through the British political establishment.

Brooks, 43, was charged with conspiring to remove boxes of archive records from Murdoch's London headquarters, concealing material from detectives, and hiding documents, computers and other electronic equipment from the police.

If found guilty she could face a prison sentence.

The charges against Brooks, her husband and four others are the first since police re-launched an investigation into alleged illegal practices at Murdoch's British newspapers following accusations that the extent of wrongdoing had been covered up.

The news is a personal blow for the world's most powerful media boss and also embarrassing for British Prime Minister David Cameron, who was close friends with Brooks and sent her text messages of support when the alleged offences took place.

Murdoch is facing increasing pressure in Britain.

He has been forced to close one newspaper, withdraw a major takeover bid for a lucrative TV group and been described in a parliamentary committee report as someone who is not fit to run a major international company.

Murdoch's closeness to Brooks, instantly recognisable for her mane of flame-red hair, was highlighted last year when the mogul flew into London to tackle the hacking scandal, put his arm around her and declared that she was his top priority.

The charges relate to those frenzied days last July, when Murdoch shut the 168-year-old News of the World, a top-selling Sunday tabloid, and Brooks was first arrested.

Police said "unemployed" Brooks would face three charges of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. All six are due appear in court in London on June 13.

"I have concluded ... there is sufficient evidence for there to be a realistic prospect of conviction," said Alison Levitt, principal legal advisor to Britain's director of public prosecutions, in a rare televised statement.

"All these matters relate to the ongoing police investigation into allegations of phone hacking and corruption of public officials in relation to the News of the World and The Sun newspapers," Levitt said.

Also charged were Brooks's racehorse trainer husband Charlie Brooks, her secretary and other staff including her driver and security officials from News International, the British newspaper arm of Murdoch's News Corp media empire.

Rebekah Brooks said she was baffled by the decision to charge her. "I cannot express my anger enough that those close to me have unfairly been dragged into this," she said, emerging from her lawyer's offices with her husband, dressed in a dark trouser suit.

Charlie Brooks, who was at school with Cameron at the exclusive Eton College, said he believed his wife was the subject of a "witch hunt", and that he and others were being used as scapegoats.

"I have grave doubts that my wife will ever get a fair trial, given the volume of biased commentary which she has been subject to," he said.

CUSTODIAL SENTENCE

Earlier, photographers surrounded the London police station where Brooks was questioned, and chased her limousine down the street as she was driven away - something her newspapers routinely inflicted on others while she was in charge.

"Perverting the course of justice is a very serious offence," said Mark Spragg, Consultant Solicitor at Keystone Law. "If found guilty, a custodial sentence is inevitable."

The maximum sentence for the offence is theoretically a life prison term although that would be unlikely, with a sentence of between a few months and three or four years more common.

A spokesman for Cameron said the prime minister had not been informed in advance of Tuesday's announcement, and would not be commenting further.

Ivor Gaber, professor of political journalism at London's City University, said: "This is a symbolic moment for British media and politics."

"This yet again raises questions about the prime minister's judgment, that he chose to associate both professionally and socially with somebody who is facing charges which could result in imprisonment," he said.

Prime Minister Cameron has also been criticised for hiring as his spokesman Andy Coulson, another ex-News of the World editor who resigned from the newspaper in 2007 after its royal reporter and a private detective were jailed for phone hacking.

News International long scapegoated the journalist as a "rogue reporter" and Coulson said he knew nothing of the illegal activities, but he quit Cameron's office last year after police reopened their investigations. He has since been arrested.

More than 160 officers are examining claims that journalists at the News of the World routinely hacked into the phones of hundreds of celebrities, politicians and victims of crime to generate front-page stories.

They are also investigating whether staff hacked into computers and made illegal payments to public officials, including the police, to get ahead in their reporting.

Almost 50 people have been arrested, with a tax official and a woman the latest to be held by detectives on Tuesday morning.

"HORSEGATE" AND THE PYJAMA PARTY

The explosive saga has shone a light on close ties between the media, British politicians and the police, with Brooks one of the central characters.

Ministers who previously overtly courted Murdoch and the backing of his papers turned on him last year, forcing the 81-year-old to withdraw a $12 billion bid for British pay TV group BSkyB.

Under pressure, Cameron admitted he had gone riding with Charlie Brooks on a horse given to Rebekah by police, an admission that critics dubbed "horsegate" and seized on as evidence of an overly cosy relationship.

He also attended a Christmas party at the couple's house in 2010, at a time when the government was deciding whether to approve the BSkyB deal.

Dubbed by some Murdoch's "fifth daughter", Brooks edited the News of the World from 2000 to 2003 and went on to become the first female editor of the Sun daily tabloid, Britain's most widely read newspaper, for six years.

With her close links to the upper echelons of the British establishment including a string of prime ministers and senior police officers, Brooks was promoted to run Murdoch's British newspaper arm from 2009 to 2011.

She had close ties with Cameron's predecessor as prime minister, Gordon Brown of the now-opposition Labour party, whose wife Sarah hosted a sleepover in 2008 that was attended by Brooks and Murdoch's wife Wendi and daughter Elisabeth.

Brooks was also close to Tony Blair.

But she was forced to stand down last July under a tide of revelations, and was arrested two days later over allegations of phone hacking and corruption.

Brooks was detained again in March this year, along with her husband, on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. Detectives have not concluded their investigations into the other potential offences.

During day-long questioning at a public inquiry into media ethics last week, Brooks said she and Cameron had frequently exchanged text messages and that he would occasionally sign them off "LOL", by which he meant "lots of love".

Chris Bryant, an opposition lawmaker and hacking victim, said: "I fear the prime minister will have some questions to answer about the kind of company he has been keeping."

The others charged on Tuesday were Cheryl Carter, Brooks's personal assistant, Mark Hanna, the head of security at News International, Paul Edwards, her chauffeur, and Daryl Jorsling, who provided security for Brooks.

'Thor 2' Will Be 'Huge,' Idris Elba Promises

Actor tells MTV News his character Heimdall will be 'more involved' in the sequel.

A movie like "The Avengers" doesn't just make $1 billion in a little less than 20 days without having a few sequels already in the pipeline. So, of course, the folks over at Marvel are already hard at work on a handful of follow-ups, including "Thor 2."

MTV News spoke with Idris Elba while he was promoting Prometheus" about reprising his role as the Asgardian gatekeeper, Heimdall, for the sequel, once again starring Chris Hemsworth in the title role. "Thor 2," which is scheduled to head into production later this year, is said to explore the other realms of the universe, outside of Asgard and Earth, so that would mean a heavier workload for Heimdall.

Though production has not officially begun, Elba has already started some prep. "I'm actually excited about it," he said. "I literally just did a costume fitting the other day."

Elba, who has only seen an outline of the story so far, said that he does anticipate a larger role for Heimdall in the sequel, but added that "Thor 2" will also be taking a closer look at the people who populate the mythical world. "Definitely Heimdall's more involved, but also, what's more involved is who the Asgardians are," he said. "I think we'll see a sense of that."

As past interviews with the cast have indicated, the scale of "Thor 2" is quite large, but Elba suggested that the focus narrows in on character in a way we haven't seen before. "It's a huge film, 'Thor 2,' but I also think it's micro in a way that you start to look at people, who they are a little bit more."

Check out everything we've got on "Marvel's The Avengers."

ATD: Yahoo's CEO Scott Thompson to step down amidst degree scandal (update: confirmed)

scott thompson yahoo ceoWhile thousands upon thousands of Americans are celebrating graduation weekend with degree in hand, it looks as if the CEO of one particular internet company will be wondering why he lied about his. After weeks of investigating, word on the street has it that freshly appointed (as in January 4th) CEO Scott Thompson will be "stepping down." In other words, he's being canned. The news comes from an All Things D report on the matter, with the official word expected soon. The scandal took hold a few weeks back, with the official Yahoo bio listing a computer science degree that he allegedly didn't even have. The company line is that he's bolting for "personal reasons," but seriously -- what are the chances these "reasons" would've emerged sans scandal? It's bruited that Yahoo's global media head Ross Levinsohn will be filling Scott's shoes for now, but there's no word yet on who the firm's next CEO will be. It's a shame, but it sure feels like a revolving door in Yahoo's corner office.

Update: Yahoo has confirmed Thompson's departure in an official press release (after the break), placing Ross Levinsohn in a interim CEO position, as expected. The firm also mentions that Roy Bostock's seat as Chairman of the board will be filled by Fred Amoroso. Hit the break for the official statement.
